Grange Thistle FC awarded an FQPL 2 licence

Congratulations to Grange Thistle FC on being awarded an FQPL 2 licence.

What does this mean for our Club

2020 The competition structure of the NPL Men’s and FQPL Men’s has been reviewed. FQPL 2 License applications called for. GTFC submitted an application (which was successful)!

2021 The 2021 NPL/FQPL competition will see new licences available to create a transitional league (FQPL2) Eight (8) clubs will be included in the 2021 FQPL2 Men’s & U23 competition.

The period for each licence is 2 years, commencing in 2021 and concluding in line with the existing licences awarded to incumbent clubs in 2022.

Promotion and Relegation will apply from 2021 between the NPL, FQPL and FQPL2.

2022 FQPL 2 licensees must have the following team compositions: Senior Men, Under 23 and Under 18 (from 2022)

The FQPL2 competition will comprise of 10 clubs following promotion and relegation based-on finishing 2021 positions in the NPL and FQPL.

Promotion and Relegation will also include SEQ Zone Premier Leagues based on the performance results in the Premiership fixtures of the Senior Men.
